J Farren-Price debuts new addition to its Patek Philippe collection

J Farren-Price, Sydney is proud to present the latest addition to the Patek Philippe collection with the 5924G Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Chronograph.

This is the first chronograph model in this line featuring a highly distinctive design. Inspired by its timepieces for aviators created in the 1930s, this chronograph combines a travel time function and a date indication by hand coupled with local time. Patek Philippe upholds a tradition in complications that are useful in everyday situations and are a supreme test of ingenuity.

Patek Philippe 5924G Complications

J Farren-Price in Sydney, offers a new model to the Complications collection with the ref. 5924G. This new self-winding model with its original and highly recognizable aesthetic is offered in a white gold version, with a khaki lacquered dial and an olive-green strap or a sunburst blue-grey dial complemented with a navy-blue grained calfskin strap. The dial bears applied numerals and sword-shaped hands in white gold with a luminescent coating.

Style and finishing

The Manufacture has chosen self-winding CH 28-520 C FUS calibre, which combines three practical and user-friendly complications: a flyback chronograph with pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock, a Travel Time function (dual time zone with two central hour hands, one of which is skeletonized for home time) and a date indicated by hand in a sundial at 12 o’clock, coupled with local time. In order to keep a clean design for the case, the two pushers for correcting local time, usually located at 8 and 10 o’clock, have been replaced by large correctors located in the same places and activated by a dedicated stylus supplied with the timepiece.

In either the sunburst blue-grey dial or lacquered khaki green dial, this new 42 mm-diameter model has both straps featuring contrasting cream stitching and a clevis prong buckle inspired by the old- timer straps used by pilots to secure their emergency kit. The dials feature applied white gold numerals and sword-shaped hands highlighted by a luminescent coating for excellent legibility. The central chronograph hand is complemented by a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock.
