Pol Roger Vintage Champage France

Pol Roger Vintage champagne costs around $90 per bottle.

The Epernay winemaker has been making champagne for more than 160 years.

“The palate first reveals a very creamy and full-bodied texture,” Vintage Cellars said of the category winner.

“The freshness gives way to a well-balanced structure offering aromas of fresh biscuits and apricots.”

Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut NV Champagne

Joint winner, Perrier-Jouet is no stranger to champagne accolades.

The fine French drop costs around $80 per bottle.

Perrier first began making Brand Brut in 1846 in response to British preferences for drier sparkling wines.

The grapes are grown in  Côte des Blancs within what is known as the “golden triangle” of champagne.

“The joyous nose of great complexity, white flowers, fresh nashi pear and a hint of marzipan, is followed by a palate of stone from and almonds,” Vintage cellars said of this premium champagne.

“Rich, soft and vivacious, with lively acidity.”
