For travellers who seek the finest that the world has to offer

A look inside Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno at Doha Airport

The fashion house has collaborated with Qatar Airways and a multi-Michelin-star chef to create a luxurious new dining experience.

The Al Mourjan Lounge at Doha Hamad International Airport is regarded as one of the best airport lounges in the world. The vast, 10,000 sqm facility has 24-hour quiet rooms, gym, day spa, a reflection pool, showers, prayer rooms, and multiple dining options. However, last week a ‘lounge within a lounge’ concept was launched in collaboration with fashion house, Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno

Known for their steamer trunks and leather goods, Louis Vuitton has long been associated with esteemed travellers and clientele. The collaboration between Qatar Airways and Louis Vuitton is known as ‘Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno’, a dining experience created by the three-Michelin-star chef.

Located above the Louis Vuitton duty-free store, the culinary venture is accessed via an elevator towards the rear of the store and is open only to Al Mourjan business and first guests, and Louis Vuitton VIPs. The interior reflects Louis Vuitton’s signature style: a base of timeless neutrals dressed with pops of yellow, green, pink and blue, with metallic accents for contrast, all with rainforest leanings as is appropriate for the lounge’s location by The Orchard. Guests can expect to find furniture by India Mahdavi, Paola Lenti and Costela.

A menu designed by Yannick Alléno

Given that Yannick oversees Alléno Paris at the Pavillon Ledoyen and Le 1947 at Cheval Blanc Courchevel, it comes as no surprise that the menu at the Louis Vuitton Lounge showcases a range of local ingredients alongside French classics and international favourites. The lounge is open 24 hours, from breakfast to dinner, with à la carte and tasting menus available. However, while the food and drink offered at most airport lounges is complimentary, visitors will have to pay out of pocket for this one.

The Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno joins existing luxury dining collaborations at Doha Hamad International Airport, such as Emporio Armani Caffee, Fendi Caffee, Ralph Lauren’s Coffee and Harrod’s Tearoom.
