Immerse yourself in untamed wilderness on these 10-day Kimberley cruises

Few places will leave you in awe quite like the Kimberley, especially when you visit in the lap of luxury with a Seabourn cruise.

As one of the world’s most remote destinations, the Kimberley is known for its otherworldly landscapes and culture that dates back some 50,000 years. It’s the pinnacle of outback travel and the ultimate Australian destination to see the country’s rugged beauty. And now there’s a new way to experience it.

Seabourn Pursuit is visiting the Kimberley in 2024 for the first time, with 10-day sailings between Broome and Darwin. You’ll be joined by a team of world-renowned scientists, historians, and naturalists who will take you on a once-in-a-lifetime expedition on a handcrafted itinerary to discover unique ecosystems, landscapes and wildlife in this fascinating part of Western Australia.

Natural wonders in the Kimberley

Aboard a Kimberley cruise, you’ll visit the likes of Montgomery Reef, recognised as one of the most significant geological marine environments anywhere on Earth, and King George Falls, Western Australia’s highest twin waterfalls. Birdwatchers will delight in the views from Telegraph Hill which is nearby Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve; thousands of tropical birds and migratory waders rest here. While, for those who love a natural swimming hole, the breathtaking gorge, The Grotto, offers a refreshing dip in the sparkling pool below a cascading waterfall.

Bucket list expeditions

The expedition team will lead Zodiac trips to natural wonders like the Horizontal Falls and Turtle Reef, an incredible reef system stretching across nearly 10 miles. It’s home to dugongs, crocodiles, as well as sponges, mollusks and other sea creatures. You’ll be able to embark on guided hikes past surreal sandstone escarpments, spectacular gorges, and primaeval caves richly adorned with rock art.

Kimberley cruises activities and adventures

Designed to handle diverse environments, Seabourn Pursuit will make your journey into the Kimberleys a luxurious and comfortable experience. Carrying two custom-built submarines, 24 Zodiacs, and kayaks and staffed by 26 expert expedition team members, there will be no limit to your opportunities onboard.

An enriching journey

You’ll leave an expert after spending your days in the Discovery Centre, accompanied by the world-class expedition team of wilderness experts, scientists, historians and naturalists. Each day, enriching lectures, briefings and audio-visual experiences will dive into the region you’ll be journeying through. As well as witnessing life under the sea from submarine footage.

Wine, dine and unwind

Share a complimentary cocktail or glass of fine wine with fellow adventurers in the Expedition Lounge. The custom furniture, with its warm, natural materials makes it a welcome space to share stories and reflect on the day’s ventures. Or retreat to Seabourn Square, considered ‘the true living room of the ship’. Sip on barista coffee while sampling freshly made pastries, or a range of on-the-go breakfast items, light sandwiches and artisanal gelato.

For the best seat in the house, the Constellation Lounge will offer the highest indoor viewing point, and with the floor-to-ceiling glass walls, you’ll have stunning outward-facing views. Early risers can dine on a continental breakfast, while afternoons will feature an elegant tea service. By sundown, cocktails and tapas will be served before dinner.
