For travellers who seek the finest that the world has to offer

Six Senses launches its first urban hotel in Italy

Housed in the historical 18th-century restored Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini, Six Senses Rome will open its doors on March 16.

You’ll be transported back in time as you step into the Eternal City’s latest luxury hotel. From the monumental marble staircase with its decorative skylight to the newly restored 600-year-old columns in the main entrance, Six Senses Rome blends classical elements harmoniously with contemporary design.

Sustainably restored by renowned architecture Patricia Urquiola, materials such as travertine and cocciopesto plasterwork feature throughout. An abundance of greenery, from the entrance to the rooftop offer guests a sense of reconnection to nature, despite being in the heart of Italy’s bustling capital.

Six Senses Rome Spa

Arguably the star of the show is the multi-floor wellness space. Inspired by the traditional Roman bathhouses, Six Senses Rome Spa offers a modern take on an old tradition. The 60-minute bathing circuit of hot and cold water immersion reduces inflammation and encourages muscle recovery.

Additional treatments range from personalised facials and signature body massages to high-tech and high-touch therapies such as biohacking, sound therapy, body cocoons and breathwork. Guests can also experience lush healing herbal hammam and sensory immersions at the Alchemy Bar.
