Revamped Café de Paris Monte-Carlo set to reopen in 2023

Monaco continues to dial up the style in 2023 with a number of new and revamped venues as part of a transformation of the picturesque principality. 

Sitting at Café de Paris Monte-Carlo under the watch of its resplendent Belle Époque façade, one can imagine a young Prince Albert II sipping coffee here with his family, perhaps discussing the order of the day. Indeed, the beloved establishment has welcomed the French Riviera’s who’s who for more than 150 – in an effortless, uncomplicated style.

Café de Paris Monte-Carlo reborn

The famed Café de Paris Monte-Carlo has undergone a very Monaco facelift, and is set to reopen in June 2023. The décor has been refreshed throughout but still nods to the seductive styles in-situ since the 1870s.

A classic brasserie feel with leather seats, a Pinacothèque and terrazzo colours. A grand ground floor bar at its centre and soon to be across two floors that can seat 500 – 300 diners inside with an additional 200 people on the terrace.

On the menu, signature dishes serving from breakfast until well after the Opera’s final curtain. It’s all part of an addition of two new storeys that will house fashion boutiques and fresh dining concepts. That will include Latin American cuisine at Amazonico.

Trip down the Amazonico

Hot on the heel of the London and Dubai branches, Amazonico will take Monacoians on a sensory journey along the Amazon River with a menu inspired by Nikkei cuisine. This culinary sensation is a blending Peruvian ingredients with Japanese techniques. To become the latest gastronomic must-eat with Amazonico guaranteed to be a popular destination when it soon opens its doors.

Style and sustainably in Monaco

There is a commitment to the environment and sustainable design. Accommodations like Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, and Monte-Carlo Beach are keeping pace, as all four are certified Green Globe hotels. In the dining corner, Café de Paris Monte-Carlo, and the elegant Thermes Marins, also have the same green status. Food is organic where possible, and there’s an overarching commitment to keeping things local.

Café de Paris Monte-Carlo is the final touch in a much larger transformation that has reimagined postcard-pretty principality, Monaco. What began with the makeover of the legendary Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo and culminated with One Monte-Carlo, a flashy shopping and dining precinct that spares no expense in the style stakes. Plus the Boulingrins Gardens redesign and the Place du Casino greening, now enveloped by tall palms. Not that you ever needed a good reason to travel to Monaco. But now, there are plenty of new reason to rediscover this part of Europe.
